Flow State Exhibition at the Heseltine Gallery

Boards hanging from the ceiling and ceramic fish on the walls; Flow State at the Heseltine Gallery has officially begun.

Friday 19 May saw the Private Viewing, where renowned names in the worlds of surf, skateboarding and graffiti celebrated the artistic expression throughout these popular cultures of the South West. It was also the perfect occasion for Cornwall Artist Cosmic to unveil the fabulous work he’s done on the gallery staircase (sponsored by the Friends of Truro School) and it was great to have Sam Lamiroy, one of Britain’s top surfers, open the exhibition and celebrate with us.

Artists, surfboard makers, ceramicists, photographers, and filmmakers came together in the evening sun and were encouraged to participate in a live painting session with Cosmic himself. Artists featured include Ben Cook, Kevin Cooper, Craig Bracefield, John Eldridge, Muju, Russell O’Connor, Leo Sharp, Mickey Smith, and Jed Stone.

A surf-themed documentary video, introduced by Cosmic, which became part of the Flow State exhibition Private Viewing can be viewed on our YouTube Channel.

Flow State will run until Saturday 14 June 2014. Gallery Opening times are Monday – Friday 5.00pm –7.00pm, Saturdays 11.00am – 5.00pm and by appointment: 01326 210730
